We live in deer country between two "forever wild" state parks. Deer are protected animals until late fall when they can be taken by automobiles and all sorts of lethal weapons. My wife wages a constant battle trying to grow ornamental flowers faster than they can be eaten. It is a labor of Sisyphus. Here is a picture of a hungry faun scouting the territory. It is a bit fuzzy because it was taken through a somewhat dirty double pane window. The faun wouldn't wait around until I could get a clear shot. If he hangs around until hunting season starts, we will have a venison feast Later that day we inventoried the garden to see what we had left. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Larry+Z/Faun.JPG.html This day lily survived only because it was behind a fence, http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Larry+Z/Day+Lily_002.JPG.html Bambi didn't find this patch yet. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Larry+Z/Lilies.JPG.html Pink lilies are harder to grow but apparently just as tasty. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Larry+Z/Lily_+pink.JPG.html These simply grow wild. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Larry+Z/Susan.JPG.html Larry Z
