[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Hi Ken, I have a 1.25 magnifier that i use on my T-E M 90 on my M9, I agree with all the comments about slightly darkening the view, however i have found it of great benefit to get the focus correct, i use glasses for driving so distance is my issue and the magnifier really helps, i am much less concerned about frame lines (at this early stage of my learning to use a RF) and much more interested in getting the motif "in focus" , i have been shooting the lens wide open most of the time thus the shallower DOF needs to be right for my purpose. I do find at times that moving my head ('eye') about is required at times to help me see as clearly as possible, obviously not moving the camera at the same time, so in summary although the 1.25 makes not a massive difference visually, no doubt a 1.4 will improve that fact, so far it has made enough of a difference to justify my investment in it and helped me get accurate focus with more consistency Swanny > , > > I know some on the list have used the 1.4x magnifier.
