This is the first version, which is not rangefinder-coupled. So to use it on an M8 or any other M (or screw mount Leica), you focus by estimating the distance. Given the depth of field involved, this is not hard to do. But I played with the lens on my GF-1. Of course, when mounted on a MFT camera, this lens does focus in the normal way, and as this image shows, it is eminently possible to achieve critical focus: http://www.greatpix.eu/All/Picture-A-Day/4253606_netUM#1341218512_tp6DQ8J-O-LB But really, that is not what this lens is for. It is a lens you set on 2 meters and do happy snaps, for example like this image at the vet: http://www.greatpix.eu/All/Picture-A-Day/4253606_netUM#1341218556_QFSh5K4-O-LB Cheers, Nathan Nathan Wajsman Alicante, Spain http://www.frozenlight.eu http://www.greatpix.eu http://www.nathanfoto.com PICTURE OF THE WEEK: http://www.fotocycle.dk/paws Blog: http://www.fotocycle.dk/blog YNWA
