We are now on Pender Island for the next few months at least until island fever strikes. Not only are we back but the Orca whales are here too for their summer feeding. Here are three of them racing the morning ferry to Otter Bay: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Howard+Cummer/SummerCanada2011/3whales_ferryw.jpg.html http://tinyurl.com/3royr2a and here is a closer picture of the trio - taken with the GH2 and the 100 - 300 mm pana zoom: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Howard+Cummer/SummerCanada2011/3-whalesw.jpg.html http://tinyurl.com/3mszwda Orcas aren't the biggest of whales but they are pretty big - here's a boat beside one for a comparison of size: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Howard+Cummer/SummerCanada2011/WhaleBoatw.jpg.html http://tinyurl.com/5rvwzdw Please look large and enjoy. C&C always welcome. Nice to be back, Howard
