Here http://www.kodak.com/US/en/corp/pressReleases/pr20040212-03.shtml Its saying that when tri x came out in 1954 it was at ASA 200 and considered to be the fastest film available. I'm guessing that in HCB 's neighborhood on the European continent Ilford films would be a bit more available than Kodak films. Mark This photography-related LUG email is a stub.
