Subject: [Leica] IMPORTANT: tripping around the four corners
From: richard at imagecraft.com (Richard Man)

Time to do a road trip before the Summer craziness starts. I am hoping to do
the usual Grand Canyon (at least the rim), Moab, Monument Valley,
Canyonland, Antelope etc. etc. etc.

Now the most important question: can I rent simple no non-sense compact car
or will the terrain requires something like 4WD etc.?

I rent a "Santa Fe", a mini cross over SUV when I was in Santa Fe, but it
cost about $250 more per week than a simple compact, which I do not normally
mind driving. It came in handy at times driving on the high desert road but
I probably could have done without it.

Any recommendations?

Once that's settled, then I can pick on the easier question on what gears to
bring :-)
