Does it report free space properly via the usual filesystem channels?  In
other words, if you were to pop open a shell window (Applications ->
Utilities -> Terminal) and type:
*
df -h

*followed by the return key, would the used and free space on the Drobo
volume be displayed correctly along with all the other volumes?

(I suppose you could also navigate to somewhere in that volume with the
Finder, and look at the "Available" number at the bottom of that window.)
