True, several new models with more features may have been released during the 4 years but that doesn't make your existing camera worse, or stop working, so unless you have an overwhelming urge to possess something new it is rarely -necessary- to change. The cameras I use are all digital. My Canon EOS 1Ds mk2 still works as well as it did 5 years ago and there is nothing about the subsequent models worth changing it for IMO.
