We believe the gift was of a Siberian Iris. This year it has bloomed with great vigor, beginning in mid-December as we were putting up the Christmas lights, and continuing since then. The blooms are small, only a few inches across, and they grow deep within the plant, perhaps being sheltered from cold temperatures and even snow. <http://adam-bridge.smugmug.com/gallery/15712606_nFf6y#1177659966_kX52r> These were shot with my Canon 1Ds Mk II mounting a Leica 100mm APO, shot at ISO 100. Comments/critique welcome, as always. Enjoy. Adam Bridge Davis, CA
