Subject: [Leica] Friday Flower: Winter Iris

Perhaps a half-dozen years ago we were gifted an iris to accentuate
our plantings of native grasses in the front yard. We believe the gift
was of a Siberian Iris. This year it has bloomed with great vigor,
beginning in mid-December as we were putting up the Christmas lights,
and continuing since then. The blooms are small, only a few inches
across, and they grow deep within the plant, perhaps being sheltered
from cold temperatures and even snow.

These were shot with my Canon 1Ds Mk II mounting a Leica 100mm APO,
shot at ISO 100.

Comments/critique welcome, as always.

Enjoy.
