Yes, you are supposed to keep to the track: this leads to very muddy feet
;-) but preserves the surrounds. The boardwalks are not complete, and were
first laid in the 1980's I think. The new ones are of course better, but
very narrow. You cannot take your mind off your feet, or you will fall ;-)
