I know it's all innocent fun, and all.  But when my wife died of  
cancer, aged 32, she made me promise not to let our daughter, who is  
rather cute, become a model.  I stuck to that promise and never quite  
understood, rationally, what my wife meant, but I do understand it  
viscerally.  Can't explain it.  I don't mind being shot down about  
this point.  I just had to make it.
