Those old lenses can be surprising. I like to fool around with odd ones too.

Wide open, it has an interesting signature, like a tunnel:

Stopped down to f/11, it sharpens up:

This lens has 49mm filter threads (!) so it fits on a Pentax bellows with a 
reverse adapter.  I have some old negatives made with just the front 
elements, to give a diffused image.
