I didn't get serious until 1967, when a friend wanted to develop film and make prints; I watched and got hooked. He lost interest and sold all his equipment to me. Later that year I got my first picture published in the campus newspaper. Here it is: <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Alan+Magayne-Roshak/Work/FirstPublPhoto_AMR.jpg.html> Obviously, I didn't have a clue about photojournalism, or print quality (or watching hand gestures). Luckily, I've been able to fake it all these years. ;~) Alan Alan Magayne-Roshak, Senior Photographer UPAA POY 1978 University Information Technology Services University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Alan+Magayne-Roshak/
