OT: to those who are in the chemical business, is there a "safe" way to
strip chrome (topic: black painting Leicas)

I'm intrigued by this ad:

http://www.caswellplating.com/kits/metalx.html

This claims to be a safe stripper for getting nickel off metal. Never
thought that there was a way to do this "safely".

Anyone know what it might be?

Vick
