I suspect we will never see lenses for "35mm" photography as good as the Leica R range. They were too expensive for modern taste anyway and really with all the software 'correction' of images now there is really no need to go to so much expense when designing and creating the glass batches etc for a lens. Eventually technology will make the old Leica glass look just that, but it is a loss that the attention to detail is lost (at least for now) to this sector of photography. Cheers Alastair
