While Weston and others used other paper besides it, it had a great reputation because it was, well, the last one left. But then Kodak finally killed it 4-5 years ago. And then there is no more contact paper left. Michael Smith and Paula Chamlee, major proponents of the paper, went as far as making their own version called Lomida, which gets rave review. Except it costs $$: $6 a sheet (16x20) and you have to buy in pack of 50 sheets. Then I noticed Freestyle has "NEW: Fomalux III FB Contact Speed Paper" so I got a pack of 8x10 and a pack of 16x20 to try out. No doubt it's made in a Eastern European factory somewhere. Slightly cheaper at $4 a sheet (16x20) and you can buy pack of 25. Compared to Adox 110, I think I am using at least 6 stops more light. But WOW..... the Adox is good, but Fomalux III is.. fantastic. The only downside is, I need sleep.... but after I make one more print.
