I just checked the UK Royal Mail website for information on delivery  
times and insurance costs.  On their calculator I entered for  
International Signed For Small Packet Delivery, 1 kg, 500 UK pounds  
compensation, receiver must sign.  All sent from UK.  For USA - 19.12  
pounds sterling, 5 days.  Spain - 13.25, 3 days.  Australia - 19.12, 5  
days.

That all looks quite reasonable.  I still need to make sure that small  
packet value declaration can be set as different from the insurance/ 
compensation value.  I think it can, legitimately, because that  
declaration is about commercial worth, or so I believe, and the  
commercial worth for each of the recipients is a round zero.
