Editorial illustration can only be produced by the use of pencils, pens, brushes, dyes, inks, and paints on paper; or their digital equivalent. No lens or photographically captured image can ever be used in the production of an Editorial Illustration. Access to public officials will be given only to sketch artists. Such access will hereby be called "sketch-ops" 2. Photography can no longer be used for the purpose of Editorial Illustration; meaning cameras (whether film or digital), lenses, darkrooms, light rooms, light sensitive papers, films, ccd and cmos chips, computers and software cannot be used for any "editorial" purpose. Photographic equipment, materials, software and peripherals can only be used to ILLUSTRATE ABSOLUTE TRUTH and/or ABSOLUTE REALITY. Press boxes, photographer's galleries, and so-called "photo- ops" are hereby prohibited because by their nature they SET UP a FALSE ILLUSION. 3. The Economist, founded in 1843 to advance the repeal of the "corn laws," must immediately cease using award winning editorial illustration on their covers - if such Editorial Illustration uses photography of any sort or was involved in the production of such Editorial Illustration. These NEW RULES have been established so as to finally FORCE photographers and editors to STOP: 1. expressing thoughts and opinions; 2. telling stories with powerful or emotional points of view; 3. demonstrating aesthetic principles of visual communication; and put them on the RIGHT TRACK as ILLUSTRATORS of TRUTH and NOTHING but THE TRUTH. The TRUTH GUESS STOP O will rigorously enforce these rules with public humiliation, exorbitant fines and jail terms.
