Subject: [Leica] question on gallery reproduction

I notice that when I upload a b&w image to the gallery, it seems to be
lighter and not as contrasty as the original. I think my monitor is
OK. It is calibrated with Coloreyes Pro and a Spyder3 regularly, and
besides I am seeing the PS original and the gallery image on the same
monitor. This seems to be the case whether I convert to sRGB or upload
as a PS gamma 2.2 grayscale. I am thinking I may need to make a
proofing curve similar to what you do when making a print, or, am I
missing a step somewhere? When I upload to my website, the images seem
to match. All I do is convert to sRGB and 8-bit and save as a jpg level
9. Help appreciated!
