The pixel counts of the large images were different enough so that the M8 image was about 20% bigger when viewed on the monitor. I downloaded both and resized them so that each image was the same size, them viewed them side by side on a 20" monitor. After all that work, all I could conclude is that there was not much difference between the two. But if asked to make a choice I would say that the M3 film image had a bit more snap, or "life" as one Lugger said. Apparently the digital M8 has almost caught up to the quality of film. Had you photographed the young lad with a M9 it might have been a wash. Larry Z
