Full aperture for 35 cine is 18x24mm. Of course that is from the silent
days. Add an optical track and its academy aperture which is smaller.
Widescreen is shorter.
Of course VistaVision was 24x36 before the soundtrack. That's a
specialized format now and for regular projection not really needed due
to the quality of glass and emulsions these days.
