This is exactly what I think will happen and I've been saying that on the
list.
There is the D3 the D3x and D3s right now for Nikons.
Leica very much also needs to have a M9 the M9x and M9s.

Particularly the S.  which  has less mps but higher iso's as the M's have
always been more a PJ camera than commercial photographer camera.
And right now the PJ's are thinking the "s" configuration is what one which
applies to them. Very low noise and very high ISO's.
