As in, "too each his own." <<< "To each his own" is how I see it too. I own a flash, and I've used it on my Leica (a big fat R8/DMR, not a svelte little M9) and as Ted wrote, it destroys the light that motivated me in the first place. But it has its place: there are times when the beauty of existing light is secondary to getting a recognizable image. The trick is to know when and when not to use it.
