I'd love the 10-24 DX  I use the older version extensively and for the cars
it was the main lens.
My next lens will be the 35mm G as it will AF on my D40x and become my basic
lens till I go FF. and its cheaper than it is sharp. A think I like.
I think in the nikon world for what is worth the lens to have our eyes on is
the  f/4 AF-S NIKKOR 16-35mm f/4G ED VR     $1,259.95
And much of the reason is its VR
And when its time to move up to FF its there. As its not DX.

And that's the most acronyms I've used in a post.

I've been hand holding full second shutter speeds with the back of my head
braced against buildings. I just discovered that technique its best to do at
night with few people looking it really works. But I'm ready for VR.
