I once thought about buying a Gowlandflex and visited his studio in LA. It
was set in bushland: mainly Aussie eucalypt trees and the studio featured
a curved wall in white, so you get endless horizons. I chatted with him
for about an hour and he showed me around. Nice guy. A girl turned up
hoping to model. She looked "perfect" to me, but she was sent off to see
Alice his wife and was next sighted leaving "tail between the legs". Hard
taskmaster. Sad to hear he's died, but good innings.

Cheers

Alastair
