From what I have seen, it is a long shot. Look at all the photo books in the bargain bin at Barnes & Noble, though that is a tax thing also. The only prints I have ever "sold" were those donated to charity auctions with open bars. Even there you can only deduct for tax purposes your actual costs, not the value of the print. I also am conflicted about buying a new printer and expensive supplies, but I will probably do it anyway, even if I am the only one who looks at the prints.
