My .02:  It looks a little dark on my monitor here at the office, but
I'll just chalk that up to monitor calibration.  I like - a lot - all
the varied things going on in the photograph.  I usually like
photographs that show me a lot and make me want to look at them to dig
out what all is going on.

However, the outward gaze of the mother is very distracting to me.  It
leads me straight out of the photograph.  That's very unfortunate and
for that reason I'd put it in the reject pile, unless it is part of a
story, series or flow that justifies its inclusion.

Standing alone my first reaction is that it doesn't cut it for me.  As
part of a group there might well be, well, another story.
