After a pleasant lunch at the Flower Street Cafe, we visited the old British Cemetery, a place I've been to several times but Hugh had yet to see it. It dates back to the First Afghan Wars and Lord Kitchener's time. Foreigners of many nationalities are buried there: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Wendy+Thurman/_DSC2598.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Wendy+Thurman/_DSC2600.jpg.html After the cemetery, it was off to one of the many hills overlooking Kabul; thankfully we had something of a clear day. Two Afghan children: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Wendy+Thurman/_DSC2634.jpg.html Hugh Thompson amid Soviet relics: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Wendy+Thurman/_DSC2650.jpg.html Kabul cityscape: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Wendy+Thurman/_DSC2654.jpg.html I loaned the D700 to Hugh and I'm sure we'll see a few images from him. The D3x files are huge and incredibly detailed. I'm very anxious to get the camera underwater; macro work with it is going to be stunning. Interestingly enough, Adobe Bridge does not recognize the file format yet has no problem with the D700. I use Capture NX2 as well, so no dramas there. Thanks for looking, Wendy
