I was just so surprised to see corn grown in that setting. As others have said, the LUG is full of sometimes interesting diversions. I do think good documentary photography by its nature can and should cause the viewer to question the setting as well as their world view. Even if your photos were taken in Pakistan, I would have had the same question so it has nothing to do with the country but more to do with the region.
