[Leica] An even colder - very short - walk in Hannover

Well, the weather cooled down even further and yesterday I had to trudge 
through the ice and snow to get some cat food - Madame Posy is a 
talkative cat and lets you know when she's hungry - and we'd run out of 
milk too.

The walk along the canal is usually pleasant enough, but with a 
windchill factor taking tempertures  down to -30? or so, it's not much fun.

At least the sun on the frozen canal looked quite pretty

but it was much too cold to sit and enjoy the view

the seagulls patrol the canal near the bridge waiting for people to 
throw them some bread

the icebreaker had been through the branch canal while I was in the 
supermarket, but the floes were already freezing over within minutes

On the way home, the sun peeped through the clouds for a moment and 
shone on the new housing development

Back at home it was really good to be back where it's warm and cosy 
(this was actually shot on New year's Day, but the kitchen hasn't changed)

Today the temperature rose to +4?C and it rained, so I took shelterin 
our local photo dealer's shop and blew nearly 200 euros on an almost 
mint Pentax MX, a pristine Canon A1, a whole bunch of lenses and motor 
drives for both.

Today was a good day after all :-)
