I come from a line of doctors and they are more famous for bad hand writing
than any profession. The typical prescription I don't know how a pharmacist
parses it.
I use some fountain pens in the 40 to 60 dollar range and love them they
make my hand writing go from semi legible to totally illegible to anybody
including me.
But I have a choice of inks.  I love refilling them. Some even take
cartridges which I'm starting to just not like.
