The recovery of kids is gratifying to be sure, especially when they have 
defied death...The impact of these experiences on their future, is unknown, 
and is not necessarily all bad....

Some of them show amazing maturity, and an irrepressible sense of humor....

Here is Griselda, a brain tumor as an infant, lifelong hospitalizations for 
horrendous complications...
