She started out with a Minolta and two lenses and them moved to Nikon. Which 99 percent of the working photographers were using those days, the early 70's. By the way when I started out in the mid 70's I was very intrigued by Maitani and the Olympus OM1. But I was talked out of it as it just was not perceived as professional; as in all the REAL photographers then were shooting Nikons. So I got a just out Nikon F2. Being told by everybody that it was pure JUNK I should get a real Nikon an F. That was exciting enough. Plus my first lens was a 45 GN 2.8 which was just out and kind of odd. Naturally all the top Magnum shooters had never stopped shooting Leica M's. But that was not commonly known amongst the struggling masses. [Rabs] Mark William Rabiner
