You know this isn't my best side... http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/rtaylor/PICKS/BIRDS/300_6214.jpg.html http://tinyurl.com/yay88gw Here a few prettier ones. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/rtaylor/PICKS/BIRDS/300_6199.jpg.html http://tinyurl.com/yatwz3f http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/rtaylor/PICKS/BIRDS/300_6200.jpg.html http://tinyurl.com/yc8hd5k http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/rtaylor/PICKS/BIRDS/300_6224.jpg.html http://tinyurl.com/ycdctx9 http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/rtaylor/PICKS/BIRDS/300_6213.jpg.html http://tinyurl.com/ydmk4gw http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/rtaylor/PICKS/BIRDS/300_6196.jpg.html http://tinyurl.com/yl8cwyy These shots are all uncropped except for those from the front, bow-on, so to speak. The one-footed one must have an interesting tale to tell* though the lack of a foot didn't seem to hurt his ability to balance. These guys (gals? who knows?) posed for me in Falmouth on Cape Cod Sunday afternoon. I've never seen gulls so lethargic. I was able to get within about six feet of them. From side gulls look almost regal, everything a bird should be; from the front, like cross-eyed circus clowns. I don't get it. D300 ISO 200 70-200 Nikkor zoom. C&C always welcome. Regards, Dick *I was tempted to say he would have an interesting story to squawk over clams and herring down at the Sand Bar, but that would have been too much, wouldn't it? ;-)
