Subject: [Leica] Slightly OT: How To Batch Rename Mac Image Files?

Mac newbie here.  I just discovered - when loading images from SD
cards to my laptop - that both my new Canon S90 and G11 were assigning
identical file names (numbers) to image files.  I can fix this in the
future, but as to the existing image files, is there a way to batch
rename them before loading them into Lightroom?
