It said somewhere people put an operating system on a SD card and restart
their Mac with it and that way they can do Tech tools or Disk utility on
their regular start up drive.

Putting ones portfolio on one would seem to be a minimum starter.
But where would you keep it?
Belt Buckle?
Filling of large tooth?
Pack of cigarettes?
Behind ones left ear?

What do college kids do? They'd know.
I'm going out in a minute and ask one.

I love SD cards.
