Upgradeability was a Leica hallmark in the 30's and 40's but its hard to keep that up. In Medium format digital with the prices in the tens of thousands of dollars for stuff I've heard of all kinds of unusual upgradebity deals offered by the manufactures you don't get in 35. But even in this realm these guys are spending 10 20 30 40 thousand dollars on backs and or cameras which they know is not going to be the cutting edge set of specs in a very few years. But I think they can have certain things upgraded. Or bring it in and they get a real good deal on another. Maybe the go the the Grand Canyon and go "oops". Mark William Rabiner
