I actually believe the lack of the IR filter was a feature and not a liability. I much prefer more detail rather than color fidelity, if that is the choice. Even with color photos as the final product, you can correct the color but you can't add missing detail. I still think Leica is dedicated to the best possible quality and will not compromise their standards to compete with other digital cameras. Tina Tina Manley www.tinamanley.com
