No, they're identical in size.

Someone on the LUF has done some work showing that the M9 is about one stop
behind the Nikon D3X in terms of image noise. You'll need to be registered
to see the graphs, and I lack the skills to say how accurate the analysis is
- though no one has commented to say that the analysis is wrong. Details
