Steve Barbour recently posted photos of retro lighting fixtures featuring 
reproductions of early carbon filament bulbs.  I thought it might be 
interesting to show what the originals looked like.

Here are two original Edison carbon filament bulbs that I have carefully 
kept safe for more than fifty years, after removing and replacing them when 
I was a youngster.
