 Find that very interesting....

I guess you tried out the cameras yourself as a "field test"?  Or did you
find some data someplace that indicated the cameras were better sealed?

On a serious note: I keep my M8 dry, but my Oly E3 can stand the rain,  
as can my mechanical Bessa R film camera.
