I have an Omega CK 2869 Seamaster (Cal. 501, late 1950s) that my wife gave me as a gift a couple of years ago (oddly, I just discovered that my grandfather has exactly the same watch...). On this one - which has sentimental value but not enough for the $2,000 restoration that Omega USA quoted - I need to replace the hands (radium has flaked off and the silver has tarnished) and probably the dial (which was refinished at some point, but not to my compulsive standards - and without the radium dots at the tips of the markers - which I noted my grandfather's copy had). Would anyone have a parts book that might shed some light on what the part numbers for the hands and dial are? And failing that, could anyone recommend a shop that does quality dial refinishing? I have friends in Switzerland, so it would not be a big problem to send it there if there is no such place in the United States. Thanks! Dante ____________ Dante Stella http://www.dantestella.com
