The word gerenuk is Somali for "giraffe necked", and it is obvious why it is called that! These were shot at Samburu Nature Reserve (where Elsa the lioness was raised by the Adamsons): Male: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Kenya/20090921_165720Samburu.jpg.html Female: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Kenya/20090921_163841Samburu.jpg.html Couple 1: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Kenya/20090922_175000Samburu.jpg.html Couple 2: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Kenya/20090922_175003_01Samburu.jpg.html Long Eared Beauty: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Kenya/20090922_163459Samburu.jpg.html Comments, criticism and especially suggestions for improvement welcome.
