I could not do without Leica M 1.4 and 1.0 lenses. I agree that Doug
uses the Leica R lenses at the limit that other lenses would not
match. I have never found other lenses to equal Leica M's for the
low-light photos that I take of people either. If I'm using a 1.4 or
1.0 lens, I use it wide open. Other makes don't even come close to
Leica wide M's wide open.
