Kyocera made have made glass with specs to compete with Canon and Nikon
which said "Carl Zeiss Germany" on the front rim  but they looked cheap from
the other side of the room. And up close too. They looked and felt just like
Tamron lenses from the 70's.
A Soligar maybe.

For the same money A Canon or Nikon or Pentax even had twice the feel and
look. 
They did cost a  bit more than Canon or Nikon too.
