If you look at the comparison images the M8 isn't much bigger than the X1 (especially if with X1 external finder). Not to mention that as of this writing you cannot buy an X1. You don't have one in your pocket. You won't have one in your pocket 'til 2010. You have no idea what the sensor will produce. You're dream'n. My M8 with 28 cron is real 18" away RIGHT NOW. Me thinks your M's have been too long in the closet. ;~) Seriously - the X1 looks like it WILL BE an interesting little camera. I can certainly understand that depending on how one likes to work It could be COME (soon but not yet) the camera of choice. Just not for me. I certainly look forward to viewing your X1 photographs some time next year. ;~) Regards, George Lottermoser george at imagist.com http://www.imagist.com http://www.imagist.com/blog http://www.linkedin.com/in/imagist On Sep 11, 2009, at 4:43 PM, Mark Rabiner wrote: > When a camera is quirky and has problems the last thing I'm going > to do is > buy a used one. > The M9 is the smallest full frame camrea in the market. > But the M8 is the same size.
