Bien amicalement de Metz Philippe<<<<<< Bon jour Philippe, I agree, even with all our griping, bitching, complaining and whatever about Leica, if nothing else due to it and the creation of the LUG by our wonderful saloon keeper Brian Reid it has created an incredible following of like minded people in this mad mad family of the LUG! It isn't always cameras and photograpy, it's about our lives, families, pets, our incredible cross section of professionals still at it or retired. There's probably more wisdom here on a broad basis of life than almost any other site. So generally, as long as the camera Leica has a place in many of our lives daily we'll have this wonderful family communicating around the world as ladies and gentlemen which is a hard criteria on the sites of the internet today. And yes we have our off days like any family, but usually the off points are sorted out, forgotten or we get our knuckles wrapped to get back into place and order by the Saloon Keeper. You just have to love this family even when on some days you swear you are leaving! You may think that, but you shall always return to the family nest! LEICA 999 may not have been everything to all people, but we do see advances and we will see more as the company slowly catches up to it's rightful place in the world of digital cameras and photography! It's return to the greatness of it's hey day may never happen. But then one should be very careful when using ... "never happpen again!" :-) Yes it's a good day. Perfect? Nope! But it's one step more for Leica photographers and some giant steps for a few others! cheers, Dr. ted
