First, thanks for everyone who emailed in in August with help on  
desert/haze exposures.  I did the best I could (with Tri-X and some  
very basic filters), and here are the preliminary results (and the  
first feature of my website that does not get by with html 1.0):

There is some cropping and straightening for a couple (and a couple of  
dust spots), but I'll take care of that in a bit when I reconvert  
these for real.  One in particular seems not to want to be rotated.  I  
just don't get it!
