But now I know that he was a Dutch poet. How do I know? Well, I received an e-mail from a poetry publishing house in the UK: http://www.anvilpresspoetry.com/ They told me they were going to publish a book of his poems, translated into English, and wanted to know if they could use the image for the cover, even enclosing a PDF showing what it would look like. I replied that yes, they could use it but I was not giving away my work for free. On the other hand, realizing that a book of poetry by a Dutch poet is not exactly going to make JK Rowling worry about being bumped off the bestseller list, I decided to propose a symbolic fee of ?50 (license for this particular use only) and a couple of copies of the book. They happily accepted, and the price does not seem out of line when I look at Alamy for this type of usage. Nice people, and I even have a UK bank account to make it easy for them to pay me :-) Nathan Nathan Wajsman Alicante, Spain http://www.frozenlight.eu http://www.greatpix.eu http://www.nathanfoto.com Books: http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/search?search=wajsman&x=0&y=0 PICTURE OF THE WEEK: http://www.fotocycle.dk/paws Blog: http://www.fotocycle.dk/blog
