This is actually a good thing. This means that the leaks are probably from very legit sources who normally don't care too much about technical details - "it's Leica, it's good" (e.g. dealers, very loyal customers etc.) So LUG Brainaics - how do you think they solve the corner vignetting problem, assuming that the sensor is full frame (and it almost certainly will be)? - even fancier oblique facing microlens on the edges? - massive software correction? - extra cells on the edges (think Fuji SR sensors, but only on the edges where they are needed the most) - Magic Solm dust? - screw the problem, just buy new set of non-retrofocus wide angle lens? All of the above? What other possibilities are there? We know the IR can be a non-issue relatively easily. Either make the IR blocking stronger like everyone else, or improved sensor tech would make the thin glass not as much a problem. -- // richard m: richard @imagecraft.com // w: http://www.imagecraft.com/pub/Portfolio09/ blog: http://rfman.wordpress.com // book: http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/745963
